Medieval scholar plans presentation at KU
Dolores Frese, professor of English at the University of Notre Dame, will deliver a lecture titled “Feeding at the Source: Maternal Bodies, Vernacular Theory and Chaucer’s Rhyme-royal Tales” at 4 p.m. Monday.
The free event is open to the public. It will take place in Room 100 of Smith Hall on the Kansas University campus.
Frese teaches medieval poetic and prose fictions, with specialties in Chaucer’s poetry and Arthurian literature. In addition to essays and reviews on Anglo-Saxon and Middle English literature published in Chaucer Review, Medievalia, Philological Quarterly, Modern Philology and anthologized collections, she also has published novels, poetry and short fiction.
