Pitt, Jolie leave Namibia with children in tow

Windhoek, Namibia – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have left Namibia with their newborn daughter and their two older children after a two-month stay at a luxury beach resort.

Samuel Nuuyoma, the governor of the Namibian region of Erongo, confirmed the family’s departure Saturday but would not specify the date or their destination.

The couple thanked the government and its people at a news conference Wednesday for the peace they enjoyed in the southwest African country.

It was their first public appearance since Jolie, 30, gave birth to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt on May 27 at a private clinic in the resort town of Walvis Bay.

Pitt and Jolie had retreated to Namibia for privacy in the weeks before the birth. They were accompanied by Jolie’s children, 16-month-old Zahara, adopted from Ethiopia, and 4-year-old Maddox, adopted from Cambodia.

‘Dawson’s Creek’ actor Hudson ties the knot

Los Angeles – Oliver Hudson – brother of Kate Hudson, son of Goldie Hawn, and an actor in his own right – has tied the knot.

People Magazine reported on its Web site that Oliver Hudson, who had a recurring role in “Dawson’s Creek” and appeared in “The Out-of-Towners” with his mother and Steve Martin, married actress Erinn Bartlett on Friday.

The couple wed in a seaside ceremony in Mexico that was performed by a Buddhist friend of the family.

The magazine said the ceremony’s 94 guests included Kate Hudson and her husband, former Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson. Their 2-year-old son, Ryder, was a ring bearer.

Hawn and longtime partner Kurt Russell also appeared, along with their 19-year-old son, Wyatt.

Hudson, 29, and Bartlett, 33, had been a couple for five years and engaged since February 2004.

Paris Hilton, ‘swarmed by paparazzi,’ has fender-bender

Los Angeles – Paris Hilton had a fender-bender accident when her Range Rover backed into a car in a parking garage after a shopping trip, her publicist said Friday.

Hilton backed into a parked Honda Civic on Thursday. A videotape on the TMZ.com Web site showed Hilton getting into the car, saying goodbye to someone and backing up. The sound of a crash followed.

The video showed scrapes on the bumpers of both vehicles.

The Range Rover stopped briefly, then continued on toward the exit of the parking structure.

TMZ.com indicated Hilton failed to leave contact information for the Honda’s owner and thus may have violated laws against hit-and-run. Her publicist denied that.

“Did she commit a crime? No,” Elliot Mintz said.

“She was swarmed by paparazzi,” he said. “The intensity of the lights, flashbulbs, momentarily disoriented her. She backed up, there was a minor fender-bender. No injuries. She then told me she notified one of the parking people at the facility how to contact her and asked the person to please pass that along” to the owner of the struck car.

“She did the correct thing and she would not leave the scene of a crime,” he said.

Mintz said Hilton is insured.

“Paris is a very responsible and a very good driver. … She takes her driving seriously,” Mintz said. “This was unfortunate … it will be handled appropriately.”
