The Kansas Authors Club invites students in first through 12th grades to enter poetry, prose and artwork in its annual contest. This year’s theme is “Paint Your Canvas with Words.”

Entrants are grouped according to grade, with different word limits for poetry (any subject), prose (any subject), theme poetry, theme prose and artwork. There is no entry fee.

The postmark deadline is June 17, and winners will be announced Sept. 29 at the Kansas Authors Club Convention in Junction City.
