Law enforcement report

¢ A vehicle apparently struck a utility pole and caused a power outage Saturday night near the intersection of 31st and Louisiana streets. Lawrence police officers and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical workers were still investigating at 11:20 p.m., and medics called for a LifeStar helicopter ambulance at 10:50 p.m. for one patient. Officers also shut down eastbound traffic on 31st Street at 11 p.m.

A second victim also complained of pain, but medics reported to dispatchers that the victim’s injuries appeared not to be life-threatening. To assist with the power outage, dispatchers notified Westar Energy. Other details about the accident were unavailable late Saturday night, emergency dispatchers said.

¢ Arcing, shorted electrical equipment, 6:35 p.m. Friday, along Iowa Street.

¢ Alarm sounded, malfunction, 6:41 p.m. Friday, 1001 Sunnyside Ave.

¢ Alarm sounded, malfunction, 6:42 p.m. Friday, 1440 Jayhawk Blvd.

¢ Alarm sounded, no fire, unintentional, 6:42 p.m. Friday, 1425 Jayhawk Blvd.

¢ Alarm sounded, malfunction, 7:45 p.m. Friday, 1245 West Campus Road.
