Drum, bugle corps to perform at LHS
The Colts, a Dubuque, Iowa-based drum and bugle corps, will stop Monday in Lawrence as part of a 12,000-mile summer tour.
The 135-member group includes about a dozen members from Lawrence, Topeka or the Kansas City area.
Patrick McCarty, assistant band director at Lawrence High School and a former corps member, is host for the group.
The Colts will spend Monday rehearsing at LHS. An open rehearsal and performance is set for 7:30 p.m. at the school, 1901 La. The free performance is open to the public.
