CALIFORNIA ? Two people were killed and two others wounded Monday when someone opened fire in a post office in Goleta, authorities reported.

The shooting took place about 9:15 p.m., Capt. Keith Cullom of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department told Los Angeles TV station KCAL.

Sheriff’s officials did not immediately return a call for comment.

The fire station is located across the street from the post office, and Cullom said witnesses ran into the station to report the shooting.

The wounded were taken to a hospital, Cullom said. Further details on their conditions were not immediately available.
