A Franklin County woman was killed early Saturday morning when her car left a rural Miami County road and flipped twice.

The driver, Melissa Garrett, 25, Richmond, lost control of her Toyota Echo around 3 a.m. Saturday while driving on West 327th Street near Osawatomie. When the Echo flipped, Garrett was ejected from the car, according to a Miami County Sheriff’s Office report.

Medical officials transported her to the Miami County Medical Center in Paola, where she was pronounced dead. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
