Lawrence Police said Tuesday that in the past 24 hours they handled:

Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ A 37-year-old Lawrence man reported five guns worth a total of $1,635 stolen between Dec. 28 and Sunday from his home in the 2900 block of West 30th Street.
¢ A bank bag containing $1,027 was removed from a first-floor concession stand in the south end of Allen Fieldhouse between Dec. 19 and Dec. 21. The crime was reported to Kansas University’s Public Safety office Jan. 4.
Injury accidents
¢ Icy conditions contributed to two accidents Tuesday morning in Franklin County.
Jeanette Burdiek, 47, Emporia, was injured at 8:40 a.m. when the 1998 Isuzu sport utility vehicle she was riding in overturned on Interstate 35 just east of Ottawa.
The northbound vehicle hit a patch of ice, and the driver, Jeffrey Burdiek, 26, Emporia, lost control. The vehicle left the roadway before rolling over, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Jeanette Burdiek was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released, a hospital official said. The driver was not injured. Both wore seat belts.
About the same time, on Kansas Highway 68 near the Franklin-Miami County line, a westbound 2004 Ford truck hit some ice, went off the south edge of the road and struck the guardrail. The truck overturned and landed in the middle of the road, according to the highway patrol.
The driver, Ashley Hess, 19, Paola, was injured and taken to Miami County Medical Center in Paola. She was wearing a seat belt. A report on her condition was unavailable Tuesday.
