Auditions for the summer Kansas Mystery Theatre will be Saturday and March 5 at Kansas University. Both student and adult community actors are encouraged to audition.

The summer mystery line-up includes “Ten Little Indians” by Agatha Christie, directed by John Gronbeck-Tedesco, professor of theater and film, and “Something’s Afoot,” the musical version of the Christie classic by James McDonald, David Vos, Robert Gerlack and Ed Lindeman, directed by John Staniunas, associate professor and artistic director of the University Theatre.

Audition sign-up is from noon to 4 p.m. Friday in the Murphy Hall lobby. The open call is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday on the Crafton-Preyer Theatre stage.

Auditioners are strongly encouraged to prepare memorized audition material, but cold reading material also will be available. Auditioners should perform two minutes of monologue, with a British dialect if possible, and sing 32 bars of any song. An accompanist will be provided.

Callback auditions will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 5 in the Crafton-Preyer Theatre.
