Visiting artist Carol Mathieson, professor of voice at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., will present a performance and lecture at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Swedish soprano Jenny Lind toured North America in 1850 under the management of P.T. Barnum, and “Lindomania” swept the country. Mathieson will represent Lind in a vocal performance that interprets the music that made this Swedish vocalist a household name.

The free event will be in Murphy Hall, Room 328.
