ABC cameraman moved to outpatient facility

? Doug Vogt, the ABC cameraman who was injured with anchorman Bob Woodruff in an Iraqi roadside bombing, has been transferred to an outpatient facility at the Bethesda Medical Center.

ABC News President David Westin said it is a “positive step” in Vogt’s recovery.

Meanwhile, Woodruff, who was more seriously hurt in the Jan. 29 bombing, remains at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Westin said he is making progress in recovering from head wounds and other injuries, but the doctors are keeping him sedated.

Charles Gibson and Diane Sawyer this week began subbing for Woodruff on ABC’s “World News Tonight.” Inspired by their colleagues’ injuries, “World News Tonight” today will launch a new series, “The Home Front,” that examines what happens to military personnel wounded in Iraq after they get home.
