Authorities capture escaped inmate

December 22, 2006

— An escaped inmate was caught late Wednesday in Hutchinson, authorities said.

The inmate, Randall Gresham, 47, was reported missing Wednesday morning from his job at Tescott Woodcrafters in Tescott.

He was being returned Thursday to the Ellsworth Correctional Facility, where he will face possible charges of escape and motor vehicle theft, the Kansas Department of Corrections said in a news release.

Before his escape, Gresham had been classified as a minimum custody inmate. He had been convicted in 2001 in Sedgwick County of robbery and criminal deprivation of property.
