3 KU theater students chosen for exhibition
Tonganoxie native and Kansas University graduate student Kelly Vogel is among the three KU theater design and scenography students whose work has been selected for an international exhibition.
The United States Institute for Theatre Technology Inc. chose Vogel, a graduate student in scenography, along with Robbie Jones of Garden City and Timothy Boeshaar of Mission Hills to participate in the Prague Quadrennial, slated for June in the Czech Republic.
The students were honored for their set design for “The Fantasticks,” a musical produced in 2005 at KU.
The Prague Quadrennial features theater designs from more than 50 participating countries and is a meeting place for theater artists from around the world.
This is the fifth time the KU scenography/theater design program has been represented at the Prague Quadrennial.
