Aniston, Vaughn split

New York – Representatives for Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have confirmed that the Hollywood couple have called it quits, People magazine reported on its Web site.

“Jennifer and Vince mutually agreed to end their relationship but continue to be good friends today,” said representatives Stephen Huvane and John Pisani, according to People.com, in a story posted Tuesday.

Their representatives said the former co-stars decided to end their romance after Aniston visited Vaughn in London in October.

Aniston, 37, and Vaughn, 36, spent much of the last year and a half battling rumors about their relationship – first that it was starting, then that it was headed toward marriage, and most recently that it was sputtering.

The actors met while filming “The Break-Up” in 2005. Reports of a romance quickly swirled, but the two initially said they were simply friends.

They were spotted together in various places over the ensuing months but said little about their liaison.

Vaughn, now filming a holiday comedy called “Fred Claus,” is known for his roles in comic films such as “Wedding Crashers” and “Starsky & Hutch.” Aniston, who is divorced from Brad Pitt, came to fame in the television comedy “Friends,” and has gone on to star in a string of feature films.

Post-wedding party planned

Los Angeles – Newlyweds Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will celebrate their nuptials with a post-wedding party in Los Angeles this weekend.

A reception /cocktail party will be Saturday at the home of Hollywood power couple Paula Wagner, who is Cruise’s producing partner, and Rick Nicita, the actor’s agent, Arnold Robinson, a spokesman for Cruise, told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, were married Nov. 18 in Bracciano, Italy. Afterward, they flew to the Maldives for a two-week honeymoon.

The party is “for friends (who) were not able to attend the wedding in Italy,” Robinson said.

Cruise and Holmes are the parents of a 7-month-old daughter, Suri.

Federline doing ‘great’

New York – Britney Spears dumped him and his debut album bombed, but Kevin Federline says he’s doing “great.”

“I am good, I am great, you know … just moving along, progressing and taking it all in stride,” the 28-year-old aspiring rapper tells “E! News.”

Spears, 25, filed for divorce last month after two years of marriage. She and Federline have a 1-year-old son, Sean Preston, and an infant son, Jayden James, who was born Sept. 12. Spears is seeking custody of both children, with visitation rights for Federline.

Federline, who is seeking spousal support and sole custody of his sons with Spears, says he’s a family man and “that is the truth … in all honesty, that is what it is.”

He is also the father of a 4-year-old daughter, Kori, and a 2-year-old son, Kaleb, with actress Shar Jackson. They dated before he became involved with Spears.

Meanwhile, the media is giving the club-hopping Federline a tough time.

“I laugh a little bit about it you know,” he said. “I don’t take it too seriously. Those are people who don’t really know who I am.”

His debut album, “Playing With Fire,” sold a dismal 6,500 copies in its first week of release. The CD was released Oct. 31.

‘Rocky’ part of history

Washington – The Smithsonian received a few pieces of recent Philadelphia lore this week. Sylvester Stallone donated memorabilia from his “Rocky” films including the red and yellow boxing robe from “Rocky,” his trademark black crown from “Rocky II” and his red, white and blue boxing shorts from “Rocky III.”

“I knew I was getting old, but I didn’t think I would be with the dinosaurs so soon,” Stallone told the Associated Press. “No, actually, I’m really unbelievably overwhelmed.”

The objects will be displayed starting Dec. 21 in the “Treasures of American History” exhibition at the National Air and Space Museum. The temporary exhibition features 150 well-known pieces from the Museum of American History while that building is closed for renovation.

“Rocky,” which won the Oscar for best picture for 1976, tells the story of an underdog fighter from Philadelphia who gets a chance at the heavyweight title.
