Sentencing continued in murder at party

A new sentencing date has been set for a Gardner man convicted last month in a Baldwin City shooting case.

Hinndley K. Espinales, 25, will be sentenced at 4 p.m. Dec. 19 for second-degree murder. Espinales was originally supposed to appear for sentencing Tuesday before Douglas County District Court Judge Jack Murphy. That hearing was continued.

In early November a jury found Espinales guilty of shooting to death Alvin Sanchez at a birthday party March 4 in a Baldwin City residence.
