Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ 2400 block of Melrose Place: A 56-year-old Lawrence man reported his 1993 Honda Civic stolen between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 5:10 a.m. Friday.

¢ 400 block of North Second Street: A 25-year-old man reported his 1984 Cadillac Fleetwood was stolen between 9 p.m. Aug. 4 and 4 a.m. Thursday.

Injury accidents

¢ A 36-year-old Lee’s Summit, Mo., woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance Thursday evening after a rear-end wreck near 23rd and Alabama streets. Amy Dolan was stopped in traffic about 7:40 p.m. when her Chevrolet pickup was rear-ended by a 1999 Ford Ranger driven by Chad E. Chamberlain, 19, Lawrence. Chamberlain was cited for no proof of insurance. Dolan was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
