Partnership program director resigns

Lawrence Education Achievement Partners director Sarah Klingele has resigned, citing personal and family reasons.

Lawrence school district officials announced Klingele’s decision earlier this week.

Klingele had been with the district since 2001.

“We appreciate Sarah’s five years of service and her outstanding leadership of the partnership program,” Supt. Randy Weseman said. “We wish only the best for her and her family in the future.”

LEAP’s 110 partners – individuals, civic groups and businesses, large and small – contributed $885,687 in services and money to the public school system in 2004-05. Through LEAP, partners support the school district by contributing money, time and other resources.

Plans call for announcing the 2005-06 totals during a 4 p.m. kick-off celebration Sept. 11 at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H.
