Burglaries and theftsreported

¢ A 23-year-old Kansas University student reported more than $1,200 worth of property, including a speaker box and amplifier, stolen between 7 p.m. Sunday and 7:40 a.m. Monday from his vehicle in the 1600 block of Indiana Street.

¢ Someone apparently took a 10-foot motorized boat belonging to Kansas University for a joyride on Monday evening or Tuesday morning. The boat is used by KU’s women’s rowing team and is normally kept in a locked area next to the river at Burcham Park. When a KU employee arrived at the park about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, he saw it was missing. A short time later it was discovered at the Riverfront Park boat ramp.
