Lawrence Police are looking for a group of boys suspected of throwing unknown objects from a car at pedestrians last week along Wakarusa Drive.

A 25-year-old jogger was struck in the head by an object – possibly a water balloon or a paint ball – shortly before 10 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Wakarusa Drive. She was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment as a precaution, Lawrence Police spokeswoman Kim Murphree said.

Around the same time, a 50-year-old woman who was walking in the 1900 block of Wakarusa Drive was struck in the lower body but was not injured.

Witnesses reported seeing the objects thrown from a white four-door sedan that was going north on Wakarusa Drive with a group of boys inside.
