Two arrested in robbery of pizza delivery driver

Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery of a pizza delivery driver in mid-December in southern Lawrence.

Marvin L. Jefferson, 32, Chicago, and Brendan D. Butler, 21, Lawrence, each have been charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

The robbery happened about 5:25 p.m. Dec. 13 after the Pizza Shuttle driver was called to a four-plex apartment in the 2500 block of Redbud Lane. The driver said that after the customer took the pizzas, another person jumped out from behind the door, grabbed him and threw him to the ground. He was kicked and beaten.

Jefferson was arrested this week and booked into the Douglas County Jail; Butler was arrested March 17.
