Area high school bands are invited to audition for the Baldwin High School Battle of the Bands. The event will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 8 at Baldwin Junior High School.

The top-three bands will win awards, and first prize is $100.

Bands must have at least half its members enrolled in grades 9-12. Entry forms can be obtained by e-mailing bhsbattleofthebands@hotmail.com, and participants should submit a $30 entry fee and completed form, sample recording of two songs and a photo of the band by Sept. 23.

Proceeds benefit the Baldwin High School band program.
