The Unity Art Gallery is planning an exhibit titled "Chalks and Pastels," which will run from Sept. 25 to Nov. 12.
Amateur and professional artists are invited to participate; the exhibit will focus chiefly on two-dimensional work. There is no entry fee, and the gallery will take a 25 percent commission. The deadline for entries has been extended until Monday.

Art can be dropped off between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 22 at the gallery, Ninth and Madeline streets. It should be framed and ready to hang.
