Kansas University basketball legend Bud Stallworth, who was a consensus All-American in 1972, will autograph copies of “Tales from the Jayhawks Hardwood: Second Edition” Thursday at Oread Books.

Stallworth, who wrote the foreword to the book, and the author, sportswriter Mark Stallard, will visit with KU fans and sign copies of the new updated softcover edition from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. prior to the KU vs. Nevada home basketball game. The book signing is free and open to the public.

“Tales from the Jayhawks Hardwood: Second Edition” (Sports Publishing, L.L.C.) is an updated collection of firsthand memories from the players and coaches who made basketball history at KU.

Stallard has also authored “Tales from the Jayhawks Gridiron” (a companion collection of stories from KU’s football tradition), “The Kansas City Chiefs Encyclopedia,” “Tales from the Chiefs Sideline” and several other titles.
