Eudora rocket team to compete in challenge

Eight Eudora High students will compete in this year’s Team America Rocketry Challenge.

Team members are senior Ben Tillman; juniors Mason McCurdy, Erryn Kindle and Kyle Plaice; sophomores Connor Hartpence, Logan Hartpence and Kacyi Vickers; and freshman JoAnna Male.

The team must design a model rocket that can fly for about 45 seconds at an altitude of 800 feet. The rocket must also must carry a raw egg and return it to the ground unbroken.

The Eudora students have formed a club called the Aerospace Alliance. The team is looking for sponsors; supervising teacher Crystal Wood can be reached at 542-4980.
