Program to feature Argentine piano music

Dora De Marinis, a visiting pianist, will perform Argentine music by Luis Gianneo, Carlos Guastavino and Alberto Ginastera on Tuesday at Kansas University’s Swarthout Recital Hall.

De Marinis, a native of Mendoza, Argentina, and professor at the National University of Cuyo in Mendoza, is a recording artist who has studied piano with Ada Senzacqua and Roberto Caamaño in Argentina, as well as Walter Blankenheim in Germany. She has performed in various countries as both a solo artist and as part of chamber groups, and she has received various prizes for her recordings.
