Model car nationals set in Overland Park

The 2005 Heartland Model Car Nationals is 4 p.m.-10 p.m. June 4 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 5 at the Overland Park Convention Center.

During the event, model car enthusiasts can view some of the region’s best built model cars.

The entry fee is $15 for adults, $10 for teens and free for children under 12. Registration is 4 p.m.-10 p.m. June 4.

The swap meet is open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 5. Admission to the swap meet is $3 for adults and free for children under 12.

Garden tour set in K.C.

The Kansas City Garden Railroad Society will have a garden railroad tour from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 11.
