Injury Accidents

An unidentified man was taken by air ambulance to University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., after he ran his vehicle off Interstate 35 near Wellsville early Thursday morning.

According to a Highway Patrol report, the man’s vehicle veered to the right for an unknown reason and then struck a guardrail. The vehicle rolled and landed on its top.

No further information was available on the incident.

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A Kansas University student reported a $1,000 Compaq laptop stolen between 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 p.m. Monday from the 1300 block of West Campus Road.
  • A 43-year-old Lawrence man reported two rings worth $5,000 each stolen between 7 a.m. and noon Tuesday from the 1500 block of East 25th Street Terrrace.
