OU theater to present “The Cover of Life”

? Ottawa University Theatre will perform the student-directed production of “The Cover of Life” by R.T. Robinson at 8 p.m. April 7, 8, 9 in the Administration Building Auditorium on campus.

Admission is free.

During World War II, three brothers enlist in different branches of the military on the same day.

A local reporter does a story on the boys, picked up by The Times-Picayune in New Orleans. Harry Luce, publisher of Life magazine, decides the story would be a great cover article, focusing on the wives left behind. He sends Kate, a reporter and photographer from New York, to Sterlington, La., to get the scoop on the female perspective.

The play deals with how the three young women from Louisiana and the New York reporter cope with their situations.
