Law enforcement report
- A cleaning woman told police a man exposed himself to her and made inappropriate comments as she was cleaning his home. The incident happened Feb. 27 in the northwest part of Lawrence but wasn’t reported until March 7. Police are investigating.
Injury accidents
- A driver was arrested Wednesday by Lawrence Police on suspicion of driving under the influence and for allegedly causing two accidents and leaving the scenes of both, police said. One accident resulted in an injury to one person who was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The suspect was taken to the Douglas County Jail.
Police said the accidents occurred at 15th Street and Kasold Drive and the 2200 block of Kasold Drive. No other details were available.
- A pedestrian was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Monday after being struck by a pickup truck at 23rd and Massachusetts streets.
Matthew B. Candelaria, 31, was walking east across Massachusetts Street about
4:55 p.m. when he was struck by a southbound Ford Ranger driven by Kathryn R. Gilliam, 50, Overbrook.
Candelaria was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
Burglaries and thefts
- A group Kansas University students living in the 500 block of Colorado Street reported a pair of Compaq computers stolen from their apartment between noon and 4 p.m. Monday.
- A 25-year-old Lawrence man reported three amplifiers, a set of speakers and a stereo stolen between 11 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday from the 2400 block of Westdale Road.
