Twenty-two students in a creative writing class at Lawrence High School will have their poems published in the spring edition of Celebration of Young Poets.

The publication selects outstanding poems from Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. The LHS students, taught by Joy Clumsky, will be recognized in the anthology for a “Poetic Achievement Award.” It is the 11th year LHS students have captured the award.

The LHS students who will be published are Tony Anderson, Natashia Bagwell, Tyron Brown, Ali Dankenbring, Drew DeBiasse, Elisa Gill, Alex Hansen, Kaitlyn Johnson, Ben Johnson, Katie Kornbrust, Anthony Krug, Mark Kucza, Brandon Lassiter, Amber Miller, Scott Penny, Trista Pool, Mariah Riling, Maggie Salvini, April Sheppard, Jamie Shmalberg, Laura Windheuser and Adam Wood.
