KDHE to hold public meeting tonight in Lawrence

Kansas Department of Health and Environment officials will be in Lawrence tonight to discuss health and environment related issues and gather public input.

The officials, including KDHE Secretary Roderick L. Bremby, will meet with people at 6:30 p.m. tonight at 800 W. 24th Street in Lawrence.

At the meeting, Bremby and other KDHE officials will update people on the 2005 Legislative Session and the status of the KDHE budget and funding priorities. Officials also will discuss the agency’s activities and initiatives in relation to the West Nile Virus, immunizations, the state cancer plan, health and wellness activities and environmental control issues.

KDHE officials previously stopped in Salina, Hays, Dodge City, Wichita and Chanute.
