The Douglas Dounty Sheriff's Department has identified the man who died Sunday at the Wakarusa music festival.

The sheriff's department said it was 29-year-old William J. Pospisil of Key Largo, Fla., who died at the festival.

Foul play is not suspected. The coroner's office is now investigating.

Sheriff's officials said toxicology results could take some time to complete.

Fire and medical crews were called to the festival site at Clinton Lake around 4:15 p.m. Sunday to a report of a person not breathing.

i feel sorry for this man's family and their loss. i also feel sorry that his family had to read about what a HOT success the Wakarusa Music Festival was touted as from the promoters.

one death out of 50,000 people is one too many.

the odds are better surviving as a soldier in iraq.

for the health and welfare of our visitors and citizens, next year - they should ban alcohol and have drug dogs at the entrance of clinton lake.

    lunacydetector:
do you realize that a festival crowd of that type would simply cease to show up if such security measures were in place. without alcohol sales the festival would not make much money (an estimated 400 kegs worth of beer was sold) and without drugs, the majority of the "festivarians" would be without entertainment for the entire weekend; leaving those that did decide to show up and stick around no choice but to riot violently endangering themselves, others, and the environment. Any more brilliant ideas?
