Law enforcement report

¢ Police arrested a 29-year-old Lawrence man Monday morning on suspicion of grabbing a 35-year-old man by the throat and threatening him with a knife at the Bottleneck, 737 N.H. Police said the suspect was having an argument with his wife and thought the victim made a comment directed at them.

Injury accidents

¢ A 15-year-old Lawrence girl was hospitalized Friday after being struck by a truck while riding her bicycle.

Mulligan R. Greenwell, 15, was trying to cross West 13th Street about 6:05 p.m. when she was struck by a Dodge pickup truck driven by Russell J. Walker, 38, Overland Park. Mulligan was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Burglaries and thefts

¢ An employee of Radio Shack, 3221 Iowa, is suspected of stealing $1,800 from the business between May 11 and July 21, according to a report.

¢ A 63-year-old Linwood man awoke and found his garage door open Wednesday morning at his home in the 22000 block of Linwood Road. His son’s 1997 Dodge truck, valued at $8,000, and miscellaneous tools worth $1,000 were missing from the garage, according to a Leavenworth County Sheriff’s report.

¢ Seven checks belonging to a Kansas University student were forged between June 1 and July 11. The total amount of the checks was $6,930.

¢ A 24-year-old Lawrence man reported a $1,200 moped stolen between 11 p.m. Sunday and 12:20 a.m. Monday from his home in the 500 block of Colorado Street.

¢ Someone stole $1,780 in property – including clothes, jewelry, and prescription drugs – from a home in the 2100 block of Atchison Avenue. The theft happened between 10 p.m. July 17 and 7 a.m. July 18.

¢ A 20-year-old Michigan man reported a total of $1,255 in property, including $350 cash and a 35mm camera, stolen between 10 p.m. July 19 and noon July 20 from his vehicle in the city parking garage at 935 N.H.
