A Baldwin man was injured in a one-car accident this morning on the Kansas Turnpike south of Emporia.

John C. Bourdon, 52, was transported to Newman Regional Health hospital in Emporia where he was treated and released, a hospital official said.

The accident occurred 20 miles south of Emporia about 8:20 a.m. when the 2004 Honda sedan Bourdon was driving struck the median wall and went into the ditch, according to a Kansas Turnpike trooper’s report. No other vehicles were involved.
