Ryun restarting Student Ambassadors Program

July 11, 2005

— U.S. Rep. Jim Ryun's re-election campaign announced it will restart the "Run with Ryun Student Ambassadors Program."

The program is designed for students who want to volunteer in the Lawrence Republican's campaign effort. It was first used in 2004.

"This is a unique opportunity for students to benefit from real-world campaign experience while assisting a proven Kansas leader," said Ryun's campaign manager, Eric Haar.

Students will go through a series of interviews and then be assigned a wide range of tasks. Those interested in the program should call (785) 273-8901 or visit

Ryun, a former Olympic runner, represents the 2nd congressional district, which includes west Lawrence.

Want to brainwash young minds and spend lots of campaign money. It's all campaign propaganda. Jim Ryun has been in office too long.

As a Democrat, I urge all students, both Republican and Democrat, to join Jim Ryun's student ambassador program. It is a well designed, carefully thought out program that is educational and very progressive.

You are not a democrat...there is nothing progressive about Jim Ryun's politics. Typical neocon deception.
