Injury Accidents
A Topeka woman was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after her pickup went off Interstate 70 west of Lawrence Saturday.
Jennifer Bicknell, 29, was a passenger in a pickup driving toward Topeka on I-70. The driver, 32-year-old John Bicknell, also of Topeka, lost control of the pickup just before 5 p.m near the Lecompton exit. The truck came to rest on its side in a ditch. Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical cut away the windshield to get Jennifer Bicknell out. An ambulance took her to the hospital. She and John Bicknell were wearing seat belts.
