J-Lo confirms not-so-secret secret: She’s married again
New York — Jennifer Lopez has confirmed that she and Marc Anthony are, indeed, husband and wife.
“Yes, we’re married,” Lopez tells People magazine, on newsstands today. “I mean, come on, everyone knows. It’s not a secret.”
It was the first public acknowledgment of her union with the salsa singer — an unusually long delay considering the ceremony was in June at her Beverly Hills, Calif., home.
The couple performed a duet, though, at the Feb. 13 Grammy Awards show. Lopez said she was ailing during the performance from swollen glands and a sore throat, which caused her to cancel a London trip to promote the British release of her film “Shall We Dance?”
Though the trip cancellation prompted some speculation of pregnancy, Lopez said she was “not on a timetable” to have a baby — though she hopes to become a mother someday.
Now, the 34-year-old says, she’s entered “phase two”: a less public, a “little bit suburban” life with Anthony — and a far cry from her “Bennifer” days with former fiance Ben Affleck.
Swann considers run for Pennsylvania governor
Harrisburg, Pa. — Former Pittsburgh Steelers star Lynn Swann has filed papers forming a campaign committee for governor, his first official step toward a possible campaign for the 2006 election.
Swann’s filing allows him to begin raising money for a campaign. He filed the papers Wednesday, on the eve of his first public speech as a potential candidate — at a Westmoreland County Republican dinner.

Surprise: Jennifer Lopez says she and Marc Anthony have been wed since June.
Swann named his committee Team 88, the number he wore during a career as a wide receiver that won him a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
He faces at least two prospective opponents for the GOP nomination next year — state Sen. Jeffrey Piccola of Harrisburg and former Lt. Gov. William Scranton III. The nominee is expected to take on Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell in his bid for a second term.
Divorce papers: Lohan’s dad threatened to kill family
New York — The father of teen movie star Lindsay Lohan threatened to kill his estranged wife and children, according to allegations in divorce papers.
“O.J. Simpson has nothing on me,” Michael Lohan allegedly told the family’s security guard last year. “I know exactly how I’m going to kill (them). I know when I’m going to do it, and I’m going to enjoy it.”
Divorce papers were filed last month by the 18-year-old star’s mother, Dina Lohan, and allegations in them were published in Thursday’s edition of the New York Daily News. Dina Lohan is seeking full custody of the couple’s children, alimony and $1 million in damages.
According to the papers, Michael Lohan invoked the name of Simpson, the former football star acquitted of murder in the slayings of his ex-wife and her companion in 1994.
Lindsay Lohan is the star of such films as “Parent Trap,” “Mean Girls,” “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” and “Freaky Friday.”
Prince, P. Diddy proffer Oscar
New York — Hip-hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and Oscar and Grammy winner Prince will be among the presenters Sunday at the 77th Academy Awards, to air live on ABC from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Calif.
Prince, who won two Grammy Awards earlier this month, won an Oscar for original song score in 1985 for “Purple Rain.” Combs will be seen in the upcoming “Carlito’s Way: The Beginning.”
It will be Combs’ first time as a presenter on the telecast, Oscar ceremony producer Gil Cates said Thursday. It also will be Prince’s first time presenting on the show.
Other Oscar presenters include Mike Myers, Sean Penn, John Travolta, Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman and Tim Robbins.
Korn guitarist opts out
Bakersfield, Calif. — A founding member of Korn is leaving the band to focus on his religious beliefs.
“Korn has parted ways with guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch, who has chosen Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end,” said a statement posted Tuesday on Korn’s Web site.
Welch told The Bakersfield Californian that his decision might be surprising to some: “A lot of people think I’m crazy. I don’t care.”
Welch said he’d become increasingly disenchanted with producing heavy metal music that invoked dark and morbid images.
“Those guys in the band, they’re not bad guys. They’re just a bunch of kids getting marketed how these guys in the big corporate firms want to do,” Welch said. “It makes us look like bad people, but we’re really just a bunch of kids who never had a chance to grow up.”
Powell, Bono on Nobel list
Oslo, Norway — A record 199 individuals and groups were nominated for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize, and the secret list of nominees was believed to range from former Secretary of State Colin Powell to U2 singer Bono.
The final count of nominees, released Thursday, included 163 individuals and 36 organizations, said Geir Lundestad, secretary of the Norwegian awards committee.
Last year, Kenyan environmental advocate Wangari Maathai won the prize.
