Prices for condos at Plaza top $32 million

? Condominiums have gone on sale at the grande dame of Manhattan hotels, starting at a mere $2 million for a one-bedroom pad and topping out at a staggering $32.5 million for a triplex penthouse with a stunning view of Central Park.

The Plaza is where The Donald married Marla and Michael Douglas married Catherine Zeta-Jones.

When it reopens in about a year, it will be as a combined hotel, mall and condominium.

State Atty. Gen. Eliot Spitzer’s office has approved The Plaza’s conversion plan to create 181 condos from scores of once-luxurious hotel rooms.

Prospective buyers are advised to bring money. Some $2 million will get you a one-bedroom residence of about 1,155 square feet that faces West 58th Street. Want a similarly sized one-bedroom facing Central Park?

It’ll cost $4.5 million.

Want a bigger place? Two- and three-bedroom residences without the view go from $3.75 million to $8.5 million. Want the same apartments with park views? Figure on spending $7.5 million to $9.5 million.

Elad Properties, which bought the hotel at Fifth Avenue and Central Park South for a record $675 million in August 2004, has promised a $350 million face-lift.
