A lot of photographers call Lawrence home. About 60 of them are members of the Lawrence Photo Alliance.

The group formed in 1984 as a way for amateurs and professional shutterbugs alike to network, share skills and tips, organize exhibits and promote their art form.

Many members have participated in juried and individual shows, and some have had work published in magazines and journals.

Each year, the Alliance mounts an All-Members Show. This year’s exhibition is on view at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H., through Dec. 22. A gallery talk and meet-the-artists reception is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
