Los Angeles — A 48-year-old homeless man has been charged with breaking into the Malibu home of actress Jennifer Aniston, authorities said.
David Hesterbey pleaded not guilty to felony burglary Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the district attorney's office, said Hesterbey allegedly scaled a 9-foot fence at Aniston's rented beach home Thursday, walked into the residence through a door and fled when two of Aniston's employees confronted him.
The actress was not home at the time.
Sheriff's deputies found Hesterbey, and he was identified as the intruder.
According to prosecutors, Hesterbey took a cab from Santa Barbara to Aniston's house, then refused to pay the $250 fare.
