¢ On Saturday on Kansas Highway 16, a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire driven by George D. Kurtz, 47, Lecompton, was stopped in a private drive at 19949 McLouth Road. According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Kurtz then made an illegal U-turn and was struck in the left rear passenger door by an eastbound 2001 Plymouth Neon, driven by Carly N. Branch, 25, Oskaloosa.
Also due to incorrect information provided by the KHP, the hometown of a passenger in Kurtz's car, Ashley Rice, was incorrect.
She is from Topeka.
An On the Record item Sunday had incorrect information about the accident.
