Lawrence police officers cited more than 50 drivers during a period of increased enforcement over the weekend.
Police conducted a saturation patrol Friday night, and then, with the help of the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, set up a sobriety checklane on U.S. Highway 59 at North 1100 Road.
Police arrested four people suspected of driving under the influence.
