KU hires new music faculty member

Julia Broxholm will join the Kansas University faculty as an assistant professor of voice this fall.

Julia Broxholm earned her bachelor’s degree in music and master’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Michigan School of Music. She also earned her DMA at the University of Michigan School of Music.

Broxholm comes to KU from Brevard College, in Brevard, N.C., where she has been an assistant professor of voice. Her previous experience also includes a role as graduate instructor in voice at the University of Michigan School of Music.

She will be teaching private lessons to voice majors and voice graduate students. Also, Broxholm will teach VOIC 120, a Vocal Performance in English class to voice majors.
