Emergency workers are diverting traffic near Midland Junction this afternoon as they respond to a motorcycle accident on U.S. Highway 24.
The first reports of the wreck came in about 4:30 p.m., according to emergency-radio traffic. Initial reports were that a man in his 40s had suffered head and facial injuries, and calls went out about 4:45 p.m. for an air ambulance.
The area has been the scene of repeated injury accidents in recent years.
