Singing group plans auditions today

The Kansas City Singers will have auditions for "Classical Aperitifs" starting at 1 p.m. today.

"Classical Aperitifs" is a review of the classical music found in movies, cartoons and commercials. The program includes choral arrangements of Bach's "Air On A G String" (BWV 1068), Vivaldi's "Four Seasons," Suppe's "Light Cavalry Overture," Faure's "Pavane," Rossini's "William Tell Overture" and Beethoven's "Symphony No. 9."

Selected singers will perform in concert and on compact disc. All materials will be provided, and performers will be paid. Performances will be Nov. 18-20.
