State Reps. Paul Davis and Tom Holland have been appointed to special committees working on issues in preparation for the January 2006 session.
Davis, a Democrat from Lawrence, will serve on the judiciary committee, and Holland, a Democrat from Baldwin, will serve on the tax committee.
The judiciary committee is scheduled to consider proposals to change the way Kansas Supreme Court justices are selected, and the tax committee will consider an overview of the state's tax structure.
