Applications available for fund

United Way of Douglas County is accepting applications from groups interested in tapping the newly created Community Impact Fund.

The United Way’s Community Impact Fund was created to encourage collaboration, efficiency and innovation among groups that serve the community. It was initiated in memory of Barbara Smith Reavis, executive director of the United Way of Douglas County from 1986 to 1997.

Groups can receive proposal request forms by calling the United Way office at 843-6626 or picking one up at the United Way office, 2518 Ridge Court.

Proposals are due by 5 p.m. Aug. 15 at the United Way office.
