Lawrence Police said Friday that in the past 24 hours they’d handled:
- 344 calls
- 58 reports
- seven burglaries
- five thefts
- 13 noninjury accidents
- one injury accident
Burglaries and thefts reported
- A 40-year-old man and 17-year-old boy reported $800 damage to their car and more than $1,300 in property stolen from inside. It happened between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:20 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Lawrence Avenue.
- A school district employee reported a Nikon digital camera worth $1,429 stolen between Aug. 30 and Sept. 2 from Lawrence High School, 1901 La.
- An 18-year-old Kansas University student’s car was burglarized between 4:30 a.m. and 4:35 a.m. Monday in the 2900 block of Bob Billings Parkway. Items stolen included a $350 speaker, $100 amplifier and $250 CD player and stereo.
