Lawrence Police said Tuesday that in the past 24 hours they’d handled:
- 331 calls
- 49 reports
- Seven burglaries
- Seven thefts
- Two forgeries
- Nine noninjury accidents
Burglaries and thefts reported
- A 20-year-old Kansas University student reported two $1,000 neon signs, including one advertising Jägermeister liqueur, taken Monday morning from a residence in the 1400 block of Marilee Drive.
- A 20-year-old Lawrence man reported a total loss of $7,000, including $2,000 in damage to his car, in an auto burglary Saturday in the 1300 block of West 24th Street. Items taken included an amplifier and 12-inch subwoofer speaker.
