Ottawa University offering school tours
Ottawa — Prospective students are invited to attend “Experience Ottawa,” a day of informational sessions about Ottawa University set for Oct. 29.
The free events run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Ottawa campus. Students interested in attending the university can meet students, faculty and staff; hear about admission and financial aid; attend a departmental fair and take a tour of campus.

Baker lecture, screening to promote mental health
Baldwin — A series of events are scheduled in October and November at Baker University to promote mental health awareness. Among them:
l Don Lambert, a writer and arts advocate, will discuss the life and work of artist Elizabeth “Grandma” Layton, who began drawing late in life to cope with depression. He will speak at 3 p.m. Tuesday on the third floor of Collins Library and at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Owens Audio-Visual Room of the library. The Baker University Speech Choir will perform.
l The Baker Counseling Center will offer anonymous mental health screening tests from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Harter Union.
